Wi School Courbevoie Centre welcomes children aged from 2 to 6, the nursery welcomes the children aged 2-3 years and pre-school classes welcome children aged 3-6 years.
Founded in 2013, Wi School Courbevoie Centre uses an authentic Montessori pedagogy.
Children aged 2 to 6 are taught in a bilingual French-English environment. Teachers speak to the children in their mother tongue and arouse their interest in the culture of their country of origin. Children can learn and practise the second language at their own pace throughout their school years. The teaching team is fully committed and highly qualified, with a native English-speaking teacher, a French-speaking teacher and one assistant in each classroom.
The school’s educational quality is based on 4 major requirements:
- qualified teachers
- classes of multiple age groups to promote communication and emulation
- complete Montessori material designed to support the child’s development
- independent activities in the morning and in the afternoon to respect the child’s free choice, learning pace and concentration.
The Montessori pedagogy is an active approach based on handling highly sophisticated materials, sensory activities and practical experiments, with a view to developing abstract concepts.
Each Montessori material has a specific function and educational objective; it helps children to develop their concentration as well as their coordination and prepares them for more complex activities and more abstract concepts. It is “self-correcting”: children can see whether they have succeeded or not, and can repeat the activity until they have mastered it completely.
The school’s mission is to help children achieve their full potential and become independent, confident, respectful and responsible individuals. The caring and attentive teaching team plays an important role in developing children’s individuality and full potential!
